Beginning a course of study, especially language study, is an exciting time.
But it can also be a worry. Different students have different goals, raising some important questions. Our studentˇs initial FAQs include:

" What level of language capacity should I aim for?

" Can the course content be adapted to suit my job or project?

" How can I ensure that I get the right teacher with the right methods and materials?

" My job requires flexibility. Can the language school offer the same flexibility?

With this in mind, ECLC provides a free, no strings attached language assessment service during which one of our instructors will evaluate a potential student's level and discuss appropriate teaching materials. The aim of the service is help make ECLC courses directly relevant to the student right from the start.

The time and place of the assessment is flexible and will be structured as follows:

1.    Evaluation of the student's overall level of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
The latter two aspects only apply to those students wishing to learn these skills.

2.    A discussion on teaching materials, methods and choosing the right instructor. For example, more advanced students sometimes request a teacher who does not speak English. Our evaluation
of the studentˇs skills and requirements will help us to provide the right package.
